The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
Responsibilities: Performs assigned preventive, routine and emergency maintenance tasks including repair of facilities and equipment. Performs on-call duties as assigned. Exhibits exceptional customer service and team skills. Integrates safety procedures into every job task.
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years employment experience in general building maintenance is required. For internal candidates, a combination of UMHB Physical Plant employment experience and external building maintenance employment experience (two (2) years minimum, combined) will be considered.
- Proficiency in the use of power tools (drills, saws, sanders, etc.) and hand tools is required.
The successful completion of OSHA/safety training in PPE, forklift operation and related topics is strongly preferred. - Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
- Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
