Description
Responsibilities:  Set up, support and disassemble audiovisual and lighting equipment for university-approved events and facilities. Assist in operating, maintaining, and upgrading audiovisual, live-streaming, and lighting equipment in University venues. This position will require varied hours and weekends during high-volume periods.  
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.  An Associate’s degree from an accredited university in an audio/visual or technology related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in audiovisual and multimedia equipment set up and support in an employment, commercial, educational or similar environment is required.
  • Experience with digital audio consoles setup and use is required. Proficiency with audio mixing is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with setup and programming of DMX lighting systems is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with video signal flow, setup, cameras, video directing and video switching is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with PC and Mac environments strongly preferred.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  • Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto policy.
  • Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
