Description
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.

Responsibilities: Supports the store manager in daily operations of a college retail environment.  This role supports excellence in customer service, drives sales performance, oversees merchandising standards, supervises staff, and assists with day-to-day store operations. The assistant manager helps ensure the store delivers excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests while upholding UMHB’s mission and brand.  Supports the understanding and coordination of academic cycles and needs, including course material fulfillment, start of class operations, commencement related events, and seasonal merchandise transitions.  Occasional evening and weekend hours are required. 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  1. Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  2. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  3. A minimum of three (3) years retail experience, including cash handling, is required; experience in an educational environment is preferred.
  4. A minimum of one (1) year experience in a supervisory or lead role in a retail environment is required.
  5. Demonstrated success in retail strategic floor planning and merchandising.
  6. Experience in using inventory management systems, point of sale software, and e-commerce systems is required.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications is required. 
  8. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  9. Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled is required.
  10. Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
