Description
Responsibilities:  Provides comprehensive secretarial support to the Department of Music and the UMHB Arts Academy to include scheduling activities, data and records management, documentation and correspondence, and accomplishing special projects. Assists Dean, Director of Arts Academy, Department Chair, Area Coordinators and faculty with student recruiting and public relations activities as assigned.
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ secretarial or general office experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  • A minimum of 45 wpm typing speed is required.
  • Must be proficient in general office equipment operation.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must be available to work seasonal evenings and weekend hours to facilitate performances, recitals, enrollment activities and related events.
