Description
Responsibilities: 

Oversees the design, implementation and evaluation of the university’s information technology division, to include academic technology, enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/LMS/portal), information security, data quality and analytics, institutional research and reporting, website design and maintenance, social media engagement, faculty and staff training, computer labs, desktop support, telecommunications, helpdesk, web application development, copy center, event audio, video, and lighting, network and hardware infrastructure, the CruCard program, and vendor relationships.

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in information technology or related discipline is required. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  2. A minimum of ten (10) years experience in an information technology management role is required. Experience in a higher education environment is strongly preferred.
  3. Proficiency in computer and network systems oversight is required.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  5. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
  6. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  7. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable by UMHB auto insurance carrier.
