Description
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
Responsibilities: Facilitates and directs assigned areas of the Sports Information office, in compliance with UMHB, American Southwest Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. Serves as the primary media contact for assigned athletics programs Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with sources vital to UMHB Crusader Athletics, including ASC Office, all media outlets, UMHB student newspaper and yearbook, UMHB Advancement Division, and SID’s from other institutions. Maintains official stats/records for all assigned events, using prescribed procedures and formats. Serves as an ambassador for the athletics programs of UMHB. Supports athletics programs with presence, facilitation and enthusiasm. Frequent evening and weekend hours are required.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, broadcasting, sports management, or related field is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Experience in an intercollegiate Sports Information setting is preferred.
- Experience in web site maintenance/design is preferred.
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
- Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
