Description
Responsibilities: 

Manages assigned campus-sponsored student activities and events to include event planning and scheduling, and coordination with support services (which may include food services, custodial services, audio/visual services, security services and related activities). Manages and directs assigned pageants, shows and other events. Must be available for travel as well as weekend and evening hours to facilitate assigned activities.

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a business, marketing, recreation, human services or related field is required.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in event planning and coordination is required, preferably in an educational setting. Significant experience in events planning and coordination in a community service and/or volunteer capacity may be considered in lieu of a portion of required employment experience.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  4. A minimum of 55 wpm typing speed is required
  5. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
  6. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  7. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  8. Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license.
  9. Must be available for travel as well as weekend and evening hours as required to facilitate assigned activities.
