The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.

Responsibilities:  The Communications and Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening relationships between the University and its alumni by managing alumni social media and communications, assisting in planning alumni events, and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement. As a member of the University Relations team, this position also serves as the primary executive administrative support for the Vice President for University Relations, coordinating executive operations, managing schedules and correspondence, and assisting with special projects that advance the division's strategic initiatives.  Must be available for a flexible work schedule, including assigned weekend and evening hours. 

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required; prefer majors in communications or marketing.
  3. UMHB Alumni status is strongly preferred.
  4. A minimum of one (1) year employment experience as an office manager or equivalent position is required.
  5. A minimum of one (1) year experience managing social media for an organization is required.
  6. Extensive computer software skills, especially in Adobe Creative Suite.
  7. Experience using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and many other social media platforms.
  8. Proficient grammar, proofreading, and business writing skills are required.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications and particularly in Excel (word processing, mail merging, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  10. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  11. Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
