Description
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor seeks qualified Christian employees for this position.
Responsibilities: Develops and manages a portfolio of individuals with a gift capacity ranging from at least $5,000 to $100,000 or more. Works with fundraising team to craft successful fundraising strategies for major & principal gift development. Must be available for extensive travel and variable schedules, including early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Public Relations, Marketing, Communication, or business-related field.
- A minimum of:
- three (3) years of increasingly successful experience in fundraising with at least two (2) years in individual major gifts fundraising,
- three (3) years of successful experience in sales, marketing, business development, financial planning, or equivalent
- seven (7) years’ experience in an exempt management position at UMHB that includes a high level of interaction with the community (i.e. external vendors, donors, members of the community, etc.).
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent writing skills, including letters and proposals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.).
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
- Must be available for extensive travel and variable schedules, including early morning meetings, evening engagements, and occasional weekend obligations.
- Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
- Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
