Description
Responsibilities: 

Assists the Sue & Frank Mayborn Technical Director in preparing for events in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Assist in supervising and guiding student workers to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs maintenance tasks involving lighting, sound, and stage equipment. Supervises building activities in the scene shop when the Technical Director is unavailable.

Work schedule will vary based on the Center’s event schedule, not to exceed 20 hours per week. Some weekdays, nights and weekend hours are required. Summer hours (mid-May – July) will reduce and will be flexible.

Currently enrolled UMHB students are not eligible to apply for this position.

Minimum Requirements: 

1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
2. Proficiency with power tools and carpentry is required.
3. Experience in theatre and stagecraft (i.e. electrical, audio, carpentry, rigging) is strongly preferred.
4. Proficiency in safety rules and practices regarding power tools and related stage equipment/tasks is required.
5. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.

Salary: 

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
