Description
Responsibilities: 

Assists in the design, implementation and evaluation of the Center for Academic Excellence academic support programs. Formulates individual academic coaching plans for assigned students designed to help students navigate academic issues. Selects, administers and interprets appropriate assessment instruments. Assures continuity of operations at the Center for Academic Excellence. Designs, implements and monitors the selection, training, scheduling and evaluation of student tutors and student Supplemental Instructors. Provides academic advising to assigned segments of the freshman population including reviewing degree requirements and assisting in the student registration process. Assists with orientation and advising events and activities.

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in education, psychology or similar field.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching or mentoring high school or college students is required. Experience in an institution of higher education is strongly preferred.
  3. Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.
  4. Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.
  5. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
