Description
Responsibilities: 

Monitors the automated control systems for heating, A/C and ventilation. Diagnoses and repairs pneumatic and electronic controlled mechanical thermostats and systems controllers. Responds to customer calls and systems readouts for temperature adjustments. Assists in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Performs testing, preventive maintenance and repairs of fire alarm systems.   

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years employment experience as a HVAC technician (installation, diagnosis and maintenance) is required, to include experience in the operation, diagnosis and repair of automated control systems.
  3. Competency in OSHA regulations and in electrical and HVAC codes is required.
  4. Vocational or academic coursework in HVAC systems is preferred.
  5. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  6. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  7. Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
