Description
Responsibilities: 

Performs assigned preventive, routine and emergency maintenance tasks including repair of facilities and equipment. Performs on-call duties as assigned. Exhibits exceptional customer service and team skills. Integrates safety procedures into every job task.

Minimum Requirements: 
  1. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  2. A minimum of two (2) years employment experience in general building maintenance is required. For internal candidates, a combination of UMHB Physical Plant employment experience and external building maintenance employment experience (2 years minimum, combined) will be considered.
  3. Proficiency in the use of power tools (drills, saws, sanders, etc.) and hand tools is required.
  4. The successful completion of OSHA/safety training in PPE, forklift operation and related topics is strongly preferred.
  5. Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  6. Must be at least 21 years of age.
  7. Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
