Description
Responsibilities:  
Performs assigned preventive, routine and emergency maintenance tasks including repair of facilities and equipment. Performs on-call duties as assigned. Exhibits exceptional customer service and team skills. Integrates safety procedures into every job task.
 
Minimum Requirements: 
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years employment experience in general building maintenance is required. For internal candidates, a combination of UMHB Physical Plant employment experience and external building maintenance employment experience (two (2) years minimum, combined) will be considered.
  • Proficiency in the use of power tools (drills, saws, sanders, etc.) and hand tools is required.
  • The successful completion of OSHA/safety training in PPE, forklift operation and related topics is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.
  • Must possess a current and valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under UMHB auto coverage.
